This past weekend I had the honor to attend Shawn Yancy’s Girls Night Out charity event. Not only was I in attendance but I hosted the fashion show!
The Girls Night Out Benefit put on by Shawn Yancy is ALWAYS the event of the season. The event benefits an organization by the name of My Sisters Place in Washington DC for female survivors of domestic violence. My Sisters Place is not only a refuge for survivors but it also an environment where they can learn to be self-sufficient and live violence-free lives.
Not only do you attend the event for a good cause but you are also attending to be exposed to a variety of new boutiques, clothing lines, beauty and skin care companies and much much more! GNO brings together all of the DMV’s finest ladies in one room to enjoy fashion, self-care, and self-sufficiency together.
On the runway, the audience saw fashions by DC’s own Pamela Sofola’s new collection and Michele Blanchard’s collection. Both collections featured models with beautiful hair and makeup done by Charlene Brown & The Glam Team and Letitia Thornhill & Team.
The energy in the room was electric and there is no other event that you would rather be at than GNO by the fabulous Shawn Yancy! The Ultimate party for a cause!
