Secret Celeb Hangout Wins a Michelin Star

The Darcy Hotel is truly my home away from home! Located on Scott Circle, the design-forward address will be a stylish addition to the Nation’s Capital with 226 contemporary guest rooms and suites. In a city that is known for its monuments, museums and politics, The Darcy is a refreshing change, offering contemporary artwork, high-touch personal service, and creative programming for families, groups and business travelers alike.

Each of The Darcy’s rooms, including 37 suites, is at once tailored, clean and quiet – yet inspiring. Design details include a focus on artwork, with bright, silhouetted profiles over bed headboards – a nod to the local tradition of portraiture that has captured so many public figures and families over the years.

Locally inspired programming that sets The Darcy apart will include a partnership with area favorites Green Hat Gin and Element [Shrub] offering a complimentary cocktail called The Darcy Double in the lobby each evening, as well as a cocktail cart service with a mixologist to create drinks from guest room mini-bars. For well-dressed business success, the hotel has worked with local clothing company READ WALL to create a “haberdashery” of accessories such as ties and cuff links for those who desire a custom suit or shirt.  Curated for the ‘Glam Girl’ on the go, The Collection is available for guests to find a variety of stylish accessories for loan or purchase. From beautiful folder-over, camel leather clutches by Clare V., earrings for local designer Mallory Shelter and statement sunnies by Prive Revaux, the Collection offers guest a variety of options to help complete their ensemble.

A trip to Washington D.C. is a rite of passage for most families, and The Darcy will welcome them with the innovative “Darcy Kids” program. An onsite “Gear Shop” of high-end strollers, bikes, scooters and pushcars will be available for youngsters and families to explore the neighborhood in style. And young guests will relish the hotel’s backpack program, which lends out thoughtfully designed themed Darcy bags of maps and activities, like the “Darcy Detective,” “Hip Historian” and the “Mini Monet.”

Michelin Star restaurant, Siren, named for those bewitching nymphs of the deep, anchors the ground level of The Darcy. Serving the freshest fish from the world’s waterways, it takes diners on an odyssey of timeless flavor. Overseeing Siren’s kitchen are chefs Robert Wiedmaier and Brian McBride, whose restaurants in and around Washington, DC, exemplify the distinctive style that has earned them accolades worldwide. The seasonal menu is dictated by fisherman and farmer alike. Guests love our caviar cookies that were featured in Vogue this year. Alluring yet unfussy, each dish finds its mate on the comprehensive list of cocktails, wines, and beers.  Live jazz music is available a few nights each week.
