  1. Attend a Sporting Event

  3. See a Musical or Theatrical Performance
    Starting July 18, you can see the magical story of Aladdin, a favorite amongst kids and adults alike. The classic story gets a beautiful stage version with elaborate costumes, fun special effects, and the same great music.
  4. Library of Congress: National Book Festival
    The Library of Congress on Capitol Hill is the largest library in the world and is hosting its 19th National Book Festival on August 31, 2019.Don’t just come for the books – come for the celebrity lineup! They’ll have U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg as a featured speaker, amongst others. Click here to learn all about the event.

    Explore the newly redone Wharf neighborhood in Washington, DC. Along with great food spots and a gorgeous view of the water, the Wharf has a lot of history to uncover.
  7. Attend the ‘Around the World’ Food Festival
    Taste food from all over the world in this year’s Around the World Culture Food Festival on August 17, 2019. The event takes place in the heart of downtown DC at Freedom Plaza and is a mix of performances and food tastings.
