During one of my trip’s to the Bitar Cosmetic Institute for a HydroFacial, I heard the staff talking about a new treatment that combined radio frequency and ultrasound to tighten loose skin, address fine lines and a few of my body concerns. The treatment is called Exilis Ultra 360 and it’s now officially at The Bitar Institute (and I’m officially getting treated)! The unique device uses controlled heating and cooling to ensure that energy is delivered to various depths of the tissue. PRE-TREATMENT
During your initial consultation, The Bitar Institute will discuss which areas of your skin will need to be treated to meet your beauty goals. Your medical history will be reviewed and alternative treatments will be discussed. It is important to tell your provider if you have any of the following; electronic implants, metal implants, bleeding disorders, IUDs, are pregnant, or menstruating. The duration of your Exilis Ultra 360™ treatment will vary depending on how many areas are being targeted. At your consultation, they will provide you with an estimate of the length of your Exilis Ultra 360™ appointment so you can plan your schedule accordingly.
In order to get optimal results, it is important to stay well hydrated two days before and four days after your Exilis Ultra 360™ treatment. The day of your appointment we ask that you cleanse the skin thoroughly, shave areas with excess hair, and avoid applying lotion to the area of treatment. They will also ask that you remove any metal jewelry, watches, or clothes as it can interfere with the results. Exilis Ultra 360 requires no downtime, so after completion of your in-office appointment, you are free to return to work and resume regular activities.
WHAT TO EXPECT
WHAT DOES THE TREATMENT FEEL LIKE? IS IT PAINFUL?
No, the treatment should not be painful. The EXILIS ULTRA 360 provides the most advanced non-surgical solution, treating your face and body parts safely, efficiently, and without pain. Most patients describe the sensation of the therapy as being comparable to that of a pain-free, hot stone massage. The treatment is performed in a lying position so you can easily relax during the procedure. I didn’t experience any discomfort during the treatment, in fact, I’ve fallen asleep several times.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
Z at Bitar Institute or one of the other technicians will tell you the number of treatments required. It will depend on the area being treated, the condition of your skin, age, and desired results. To get optimum results each patient will need to start with 4-6 treatments scheduled 2-4 weeks apart. Each area takes between 15-30 minutes per session.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
Patients in clinical studies have reported excellent outcomes. Each patients outcome depends on the treated area, its condition, and other factors. Patients may see visible improvements after a single session. Collagen remodeling takes approximately 90 days so results will typically improve over a 3-month period.
